Invitation to the joint event of MAGEOSZ and MKT – Forecasting of labor and skills needs in the mechanical engineering industry

Dear MAGEOSZ Members!

MAGEOSZ and the Industry, Entrepreneurship and Labor Department of the Hungarian Economic Association (MKT) are organizing a joint online conference and a roundtable discussion entitled “Forecasting labor needs and skills needs in the mechanical engineering industry” on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 2 pm on Microsoft Teams.

Following the greetings of Gábor Vadnai, the Secretary General of MAGEOSZ, the conference speakers, Dr. Katalin Németh (GKI), Ferenc Sólyom (former head of ASG), Dávid Szebeni (Enrawell, Sybium), Roland Molontay (BME-HSDS LAB) and Dr. Gyula Nagy ( Enrawell, SZTE), will cover topics such as the effects of the pandemic on the machinery industry, the challenges facing managers at the time of the epidemic, forecasting sectoral employment using artificial intelligence, and forecasting skills needs.

Following this, in a panel discussion, our experts will focus on areas such as labor shortages and structural change, digitalization, exposure and vulnerability, and policy representation.

Participants of the round table discussion: Dr. Katalin Németh (GKI), Ferenc Sólyom (former head of ASG Gépgyártó Kft.), György Boda (Boda & Partners Kft., Member of the board of the Labor Department of MKT) and János Kálmán (Kálmán Bt., mechanical engineer, ISO 9001 quality auditor, member of the board of MKT’s Industry and Entrepreneurship Department). Moderator: Dr. Gyula Nagy (Enrawell, SZTE).
