MAGEOSZ and the Industry, Entrepreneurship and Labor Department of the Hungarian Economic Association (MKT) are organizing a joint online conference and roundtable discussion entitled “Forecasting labor needs and skills needs in the mechanical engineering industry – The future of the knowledge-based mechanical engineering industry” on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 2 p.m. on Microsoft Teams.
Following the greetings of the Secretary General of MAGEOSZ, the speakers of the conference, Dr. Katalin Németh (GKI) and Dr. Gyula Nagy (Enrawell, SZTE), will cover topics such as the effects of the pandemic on the machinery industry, the challenges of managers during the epidemic, forecasting employment using artificial intelligence; and forecasting skills needs.
This will be followed by a roundtable discussion on the current situation and trends in the mechanical engineering and energy sectors, and common thinking on the issues raised in the presentations. Our experts focus on areas such as labor shortages and structural change, digitalisation, exposure and vulnerability, and policy representation.
Participants of the roundtable discussion: Dr. Katalin Németh (GKI), Ferenc Sólyom (former head of ASG Gépgyártó Kft.), György Boda (Boda & Partners Kft., Member of the board of the Labor Department of MKT) and János Kálmán (Kálmán Bt., mechanical engineer, ISO 9001 quality auditor, member of the board of MKT’s Industry and Entrepreneurship Department).
