Content of the project: The overall objective of the project ‘Forecasting labour demand and skills needs in the mechanical engineering sector’, implemented by the Hungarian National Association of Machinery and Power Engineering Industries, is to address the labour market challenges of the mechanical engineering sector by identifying short, medium and long-term solution alternatives. The project directly addresses the analysis of the labour and skills needs of the mechanical engineering industry. The research and dissemination activities focus on the vocational training system, the alignment of dual training with employer needs, higher level information of target group members, information gathering and sectoral cooperation. The project, which addresses the topic area “forecasting labour needs and skills requirements”, will run for 12 months, starting in March 2020.

The project is scheduled to end on 30.11.2021.
